- The Brandstead Press began publishing one-of-a-kind books in the late 1960s; its first edition book appeared in 1969. Most of its publications are intended to present the wood engravings by its jack-of-all-trades, Gerard Brender à Brandis. This signature was printed on handmade, all-rag paper with "Libra" type and wood blocks in an edition of 75 copies for Wayzgoose 1981 & an additional 20 copies for private distribution.
